Swiss designer Christoph Steiger envisioned the Pi chair during his studies at Bergen Academy of Art and Design. The unconventional dining chair stands out due to its elegant curves. The fusion between its back support and legs is a creative twist which can act as an instant eye-catcher. Embedded in a minimalist decor, this creative furniture piece can turn a common interior design scheme into a spectacular one.

The project is constructed from a wooden tube, which makes it very easy to manufacture and shapes a unique character. Certain details of its construction are based on the concept of a puzzle, which adds to the playfulness of the design. Pi was recently part of the Greenhouse exhibition at Stockholm Furniture Fair where students at Bergen Academy of Art and Design showcased their work. How would you comment on its design?
