The Solitaire Chair is designed by Alfredo Haberli, and is an upholstered chair with an organic shape that is designed in one piece. Alfredo Haberli thought that rather than design a chair and then designing a table to go with it, he designed the Solitaire, which is both at the same time. One of Solitaire’s armrests is like an intergral tabletop, ideal for reading, writing, or for use as a side table. I would recommend a chair like this to any modern company. In conclusion Solitaire is a low chair with a small table for writing, reading, or eating. The solitaire chair can be purchased from here and the price is $2,695.00.

Paddy is a concept chair from Nick Melville that was part of the DesignersBlock London “Dark Design” exhibit.
The ‘Paddy’ chair is a comfy upholstered chair with the theme of a padded cell.
The enclosed shape is meant to offer an experience of safety and security, and give the user a sanctuary from the rapid pace and noise of everyday life. The chair is large enough to fit two people so you can share the quiet space with a friend.
Now as you can see the design is pretty interesting, but I can also see some negative aspects at this chair.
For example clausterphobic people might find this chair uncomfortable, and if you would like to read something the light might be weak. - Found on Funfurde
