I will have to be honest and say that I never thought a barn could be turned into such a beautiful home. It happened in Belgium where architect Rita Huys from Buro2, got her hands on a an old barn in the rolling hills of Central West Flanders, kept its rustic touch but transformed it into a modern home with an elegant and luxurious living space, at the countryside.

The exterior looks simple with an unique character that blends well with the scenery, while at the interior where artist Wim Delvoye worked his magic, style is king. With large glasses that let the light get in easily, with modern furniture, well defined shapes and high quality materials, the verdict is clear. That’s the most beautiful barn I’ve ever seen, and the one I’d sleep in without thinking. - via Wallpaper

The 1-Line Spice Rack from Desu Design is made from 1/4” thick brushed stainless steel bars, and each piece is meticulously welded and finished to create a seamless line which appears to float on the wall. If you look at the pictures below you can see that this is a very good looking way to keep your spices in your kitchen. The rack can be simply mounted on the wall with two screws, and each spice rack comes with 15 glass mini cube bottles with cork tops. The olive oil bottle is not included, but most standard size bottles will fit. All these cost $199, quite expensive, but at least you have the idea and maybe you’ll use it in future someway.

A while ago I’ve noticed that metallic & shiny fashion trends with colors like silver, gold and bronze became quite popular. Today I’ve discovered that this trend also hit the furniture industry, and a great example is the Hollywood Stardom Sofa, an unique piece of furniture that can bring a little Hollywood glamour into your living room. In spite of its clean cut and modern square look, thanks to the four, oversized, soft silver pillows on its backrest, the Hollywood Stardom is a sofa you just won’t want to leave. Made of the finest italian leather, this stylish shimmery silver sofa will make you feel like a real star! Price : $8,100

Designed by Paul Scarfe the “Aura” speakers are a discrete, yet stylish conceptual speaker that aims to fill a room with sound using resonating glass. The glass cone shape amplifies and projects the sound into the room, whilst a bass speaker below handles the low end of the audio. The cone is probably the first and best idea in sound delivery. Designer Paul Scarfe believes this to be true by adding the purity of glass to this equation and designing this speaker he calls “Aura.” This project was modelled and rendered in 3DSMax and post processed in Photoshop, so for now is just a nice looking concept.- Via - Yankodesign
