If you would like to brighten up and inject some life into a dull room, then you should check this beautiful idea. SkyCeilings are photographic illusions of real skies that fit into standard ceiling grid systems. SkyCeilings faux skylights now include programmable lighting which can be used to emulate the intensity and color changes that come with a rising and setting sun. Luminous SkyCeilings feature fluorescent or LED lighting that illuminate the translucent images from behind. Ambient SkyCeilings are made from opaque image tiles that are lit by room or cove lighting. So if you want an amazing view when you wake up in the morning ….just imagine how would you start the day with such a view ( meanwhile I’ve found an amazing view that everyone must see, check out this image ). - Via

The NOD Light is a bedside table light or wall mounted light, that can be used to store a few small personal items, and of course keep you a little more organized. As you can see from the picture attached, the manufacturer suggest, that this bedside table light can be used to organize and store a book that you read before going to sleep, your glasses and his dentures in a sleek bedside unit. Of course that you can use it for your personal stuff, I’d suggest …a magazine, your watch, and finally your cellphone. This bedside table light can be yours for $220.00 from here.

If you would like to play a little and create something creative you can start from David Ngo idea. He used an illuminating object, some fabric, zippers and created the Zipper Ligh. This wall hanging capitalizes on the inherent capabilities of ordinary zippers to provide varying levels of brightness, a unique and gratifying user interaction, as well as an expression of revelation, discovery, and mystery. The light might not be so powerful, but the effect is worth a try.

LULL is a lamp that opens and closes like a flower. In the evening the lamp gives a warm glow, to give a feeling of safety while it slowly turns itself off. In the morning the lamp opens, gradually increasing the light intensity to give the user a more comfortable awakening. LULL is an award-winning product made for GiForm 2007, an industrial design competition in Norway.“ - Via - Kollstad.com.

Buttefly Light is designed by Vinta, and is a beautiful source of light with an interesting modern design. This light came from the idea of folding a piece of paper. The function of its adjustment of light and the space created by that are a result of simple action of one surface (the panel) being divided by two. The two panels with slight shifts to each other at its closed position remind a user to open this object up. This light gives the poetic theme to the space like a butterfly flying around with silence. - Via - Coolboom
