This piece of furniture designed by Giuseppe Canevese features the artwork of graphic artist Guido Crepax who was influential in the development of European comic art in the second half of the 20th century. His most famous storyline, featuring the character “Valentina“, was created in 1965. Printed on white polished MDF, these creations are certainly attention grabbing and conversation starters in any room and in any language. I’m pretty sure that those of you who loved comics when they were kids will absolutely love this piece of furniture. For those who want to make their room an individual piece of art, here are a few examples made by 21 international artists from the fields of graphic design, urban art and illustration. These amazing rooms are from the Fox Hotel ( the former Park Hotel ), that is located in the center of Copenhagen, and I can say that these artists turned this hotel into the world’s most exciting and creative lifestyle hotel. The hotel has 61 rooms that are all completely different so choosing between a room with Art Deco inspired furnishings or a room where the walls have patterns taken straight out of a 1960s psychedelic film or a room where you spend the night in the company of Japanese Manga inspired cartoon characters may well pose a dilemma to some guests. From fantastic street art and Japanese Manga to simply spaced out fantasies, you will find flowers, fairytales, friendly monsters, dreaming creatures, secrets vaults and more… Now let’s see some amazing rooms.

The origins of Hotel Fox lie in a massive marketing event laid on by Volkswagen to promote its latest small car, the Fox, which, when it comes on the British market this summer, should retail at around £6,500. Rooms start at €120, which is cheap for Europe’s second most expensive city. And there’s a perverse attraction in a hotel that breaks all the rules of functional beauty that are central to Danish design.

I’m sure that everyone love original and interesting things, and Liquid Kiss - Yuanyang II is one of those things that can keep your eye focused for at least a few seconds, a great example of pure art. Personally I would like to have a sculpture like this somewhere on my furniture.
The pottery, named Yuanyang II, is one of the collections of Hong Kong Museum of Art now displaying at the Central Concourse of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). It is produced by Tsang Cheung-shing, a ceramic art tutor and product designer.
Yuanyang II is modeled in a distinctive form with two figures indulged in kissing each other. Their heads support two elegant cups for drinking tea and coffee. The form and concept design fully complement the theme “Yuanyang” (a typical Hong Kong beverage of mixing tea and coffee), a symbol of marriage and love, with a touch of humour for artistic creation. - Via - kostasvoyatzis

I’m a big fan of music, and yesterday I was searching for an idea to put some big speakers into walls. This can give dangerous for the building and can take a lot of planning, time, money and work. But today I’ve found a solution, canvas speakers. High-quality speakers are disguised as art work which are perfect to compliment modern or contemporary home theaters. Speaker covers are ink jet with stock art or your own custom images. A very interesting idea, and I’m looking forward to buy something like this. Found on Artcoustic
