The Fudamae Apartment is designed by ISSHO Architects an architectural design office based in Tokyo and they got my attention with this apartment window’s design that has an unusual shape. The Fudomae apartment’s design makes the most of a limited volume while creating a comfortable urban living space . Each 18 sqm unit fits a living room, kitchen, bathroom and storage. The tight arrangement is transformed into a design expression, particularly through the location and shape of the window, which designates the placement of the bed and other furniture. The window’s angle and height corresponds to both the interior of the room and the scenery outside, linking the Japanese single lifestyle and the natural environment.

I’m not a big of pink, but I know that a lot of girl love this color, and Betsey Johnson is a great example of someone who loves that color. This apartment from designer Betsey Johnson screams pink from top to bottom, if you don’t believe me take a look at the pictures below. According to listing information, the 1,660-square-foot, two bedroom, one bathroom, open-plan penthouse includes ebonized floors, a view over the rooftops of Greenwich Village all the way to New Jersey, a floating staircase that leads to a 1,000-square-foot private roof deck. Right now this pink apartment is for sale for $3.6 million.

Do you like to listen music at high volume, throw a lot of noisy parties, or anything that is to loud for your neighbors ? If your answer is “Yes” then you might do something or your neighbors will do something you reall don’t want. Wired Magazine gathered the data you need to soundproof your apartment from a real experience of a couple how just moved into a new home, and had this problem. The woman is a professional percussionist and with so much noise they really needed to soundproof their apartment.

Anarchitecture Blog published a graphic from where you can see how much surface area one gets for every 50,000€ (about USD $73,400) in various cities in the world. I’m sure that these numbers are just aproximative, because the price depends on many factors. You can see some factors that can influence the price of apartment in 10 Things You Should Know Before Buying an Apartment an article that I’ve wrote a few months ago.

Tetris Apartments is an innovative project completed by slovenian architects Ofis in Ljubljana. As you can see from these pictures these apartments are inspired by the well known game named Tetris. The building stands on the edge of the 650 apartments development which was finished year ago. By urban rules the block is 3 floors high and 65 meters long. Since the orientation of the apartments is towards the car road the apartment areas together with balconies are orientated to the quieter south side.
