The creative team behind Artinstall sent us photos of a home theater project they recently completed in Novosibirsk, Russia. The 326-square-foot room is on the ground floor of a 10,760-square-foot private residence.

Since the house was a minimalist design with monochrome hues, the theater room was designed in the same style. Sculptured acoustic panels and special lighting fixtures were designed to emphasize their forms. The only furniture in the room is a comfortable sofa for three, able to recline with footrests.

According to the architects, the lighting system in the home theater includes monochromatic halogen lamps and LEDs as well as RGB light (also LEDs). They can be configured using the dimmer light-control panel or through an iPad application. What are your thoughts on this unconventional room? [Photos and information courtesy of Artinstall]
