Lot 18, A Fresh And Modern Residence

Lot 18 is a residential project design by Arkitek Axis, a company founded in 1989 who’s slogan is “less is more”. Their aim is to “give their client’s project a value for money, and at the same time create a concept identity in which both the clients and the company can be proud of”. Perhaps this goal is what also led to creating this ostentatious house deign and what made it a successful project. The building is shaped like the letter “U” and most of the rooms have a view towards the pool, which is located in the middle. It has three levels,  spacious, opulent bedrooms and bathrooms  and a dining room which is connected to the pool through sliding doors. We will let you admire the photos for a better understandment of the team’s work.

Facebook Headquarters in California

Facebook is one of the largest social online network in the world with more than 300 million registered users. It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg when he was still a student at Harvard. Their  headquarters in California was built following the strict directions of  Studio O+A, creators of the architecture project. This place doesn’t only feature a great exterior and interior design, but some special creative touches which we would like to emphasize: different colors for different departments, unfinished walls for the employees to add their ideas in writing or drawing. The place houses over 700 workers and it was designed in order to “facilitates interaction and connection”.

“Frog Queen”, Pixels In a Cube

SPLITTERWERK is a German company that took on some truly creative projects throughout the years. Frog Queen is the name of this astonishing white & gray cube which happens to be the headquarters of the Prisma Engineering company, located in Styria,Austria. The overall image is that of random pixels, but don’t let the color simplicity fool you. A closer look will reveal that in fact each square has an individual pattern and that this exterior has no less than ten shades of gray. A particular charm is given by the windows that seem to barely make themselves noticeable through the white and gray squares.

Home In The Middle of Nature

This lovely estate was designed by Dutch architects Sluijmer & Van Leeuwen and is currently owned by the Utrecht Landscape Foundation. The villa represented a challenge from the very start. Building something in the middle of nature is not always easy, because the resources are sometimes scarce. This is why a huge creative effort was needed in order to create this fantastic design with all the utilities included in a place surrounded by “185 hectares of forests and agricultural land”. Still, everything turned out great.  The exterior design is something else and the interiors are beautiful and spacious. Have a pick at results in the pictures below!
