Patricia Urquiola’s Swing Chair for Louis Vuitton’s “Objets Nomades” Collection
Louis Vuitton unveiled a new luxury collection entitled “Objets Nomades” during Design Miami 2012. The collection features an interesting series of practical foldable designs that you can take along in your journeys and that use Louis Vuitton’s exclusive nomad leather. In today’s post we would like to share Patricia Urquiola’s Swing Chair. Made from nylon rope and complemented with leather cushions, the project definitely has a unique appearance.
The collection swing can be easily installed- either in a scenic outdoor area or inside- with the help of its gold-plated hooks. Patricia Urquiola is just one of the designers that was part of the “Objets Nomades”, each professional having a personal interpretation of a foldable travel object. Other famous creative names included Maarten Baas, Nendo’s Oki Sato, Atelier Oi and Christian Liai. An interesting feature of the chair is its price tag which, according to official sources, exceeds $20,000.
