Remote Luxury Chalet Surrounded by Natural Delight: Lower Foxtail Residence

Combining a requirement for luxury with the latest ideas in modern decor, Reid Smith Architects & Len Cotsovolos ( Interior Architectural Designer ) completed Lower Foxtail Residence, a “sparkling residence of glass and clean lines tucked in among predominantly rustic cabins in the Yellowstone Club.” With a remote location and plenty of lush greenery surrounding the building, this Montana house raises the bar when it comes to contemporary US living. Its exterior defined by the use of stone, wood and glass somewhat manages to hide the design treats inside

There is more to this place than initially meets the eye and stepping into the generously-sized open plan living area will prove just that. According to the architects, the entire South-facing wall is constructed of triple-pane Unilux windows to capture stunning views of the surroundings. The social area is filled with natural light, emphasizing on the hi-end design features throughout. The overall dark color palette ensures an elegant feel and redirects the attention on the natural delight outdoors.
