The English firm McGarry-Moon Architects renewed a stone barn, transforming it into a lovely picturesque home with plenty of interesting elements of modern inspiration. The Loughloughan Barn is located in Broughshane, Northern Ireland, UK. The architects kept the original stone structure, yet they implemented modern sustainable ideas, in order to create a comfortable, nature-friendly home environment. The new structure, dynamic, a little bit daring and neat has a metallic framework and floor-to-ceiling windows on one side, allowing the sun to “flood” the interior with light and warmth.
The house was built using both, modern technologies and traditional methods. Relaxing and comfortable, this exquisite spot is just what you need, whenever the busy city puts pressure on you. This fine example of rural architecture, designed in the 21st century inspires people to simply break the routine and explore different places, people, environments. Don’t you think?
