A Splash Of Fresh Colour Over a Timeless Grey Kitchen

Advertising

Most of us, when hearing about grey think of something dusty and neutral, that doesn’t want to stand out nor to make an impression. The truth is that grey is …great, timeless and very hip these days! Why?! Because it offers a variety of possibilities and colour combinations. You can add any kind of powerful colour and transform a living space into a bright source of inspiration. Like this kitchen spotted on Willow Decor, designed by Jeanne Rapone. By adding a splash of lime yellow to the pocket door, the designer obtained a youthful and fresh kitchen.

Anyway, the idea of having a neutral grey kitchen is not a bad thing, after all. Especially if you decorate it with style. Jeanne’s work is so fantastic because she managed to integrate thick marble, to add more substance and eventually, create a classy effect over those who see this kitchen for the first time. There are also the traditional elements that catch the eye: the French doors, the built in China cabinet and the framed windows. As Jeanne Rapone says, a kitchen has to inspire  you through quality and style.

I first saw this kitchen design floating around Pinterest, it is beautiful. Yellow is one of my all time favorite colors but you can only use so much of it. The designer go the dose of yellow just perfect. It i a fantastic compliment to the dark grey cabinets and the feeling is so classic and traditional yet completely modern. Love it!

The kitchen’s design is a perfect combination of classic interior with modern appliances and look overall.
It looks quite homey, but not outdated or old. I love it!

The yellow accent made with the door made the kitchen brighten. The cabinets have made a remarkable impression as well. Even in the pantry, you can see that the marble and the framed windows are very customized. Over-all, it turned-out to be a grey kitchen but with class.
