Serene Modern Architecture in the Suburbs of Buenos Aires: Agua House

With an exterior inspiring holiday vibes, Agua House by Barrionuevo Sierchuk Arquitectas is probably one of the most serene modern home designs in the suburbs of Buenos Aires. According to the architects, the residence has a total surface of 450 square meters (4,840 square feet) and was built for a couple without kids.  The ground floor program includes impressive reception areas, that open and close through wooden sliding doors which can be hidden into the walls.

The color palette for the interior was chosen in close relationship to the two stone walls (made of Laja Neuquen) which interact with most of the rooms in the house. Floor to ceiling glass doors and large windows at the second level allow unobstructed views of the neighboring Canal Arias river. The swimming pool spectacularly mirrors light changes throughout the evening and adds a sense of dynamics to the entire architectural scene.
