Mountain House Inspired by the Neighboring Rough Landscape

Beautiful View by Night Mountain House Inspired by the Neighboring Rough Landscape Share on Facebook Tweet Comment An environment that lets you breathe and relax is sometimes all we need to forget about stress. Mountains can represent a wonderful  place to escape from routine. It is said that, in the middle of nowhere, you can embrace the environment in its pure and untainted form. Raw but peaceful, Savoie is a piece of paradise. The Mineral Lodge caught our attention and we decided to share this project with you. Built on the peak of the mountains, at an altitude of 1200 metres in Savoie, France, the house adopted a contemporary look despite its location.  What is more relaxing than enjoying a good coffee in the company of the morning sun?

Dramatic sunsets and fairytale-like dusks illustrate a place that forgets about the meaning of time. Time stops and it has no value here. The Mineral Lodge, project realized by Atelier d’Architecture Christian Girard came as a reinterpretation of  the old chalet. It keeps some of the features but it adds a new touch of contemporary chic to it. The outside walls are paved with stones and wrapped with wood, blending perfectly with the natural landscape. Luminous and bright, the home located in the French Alps is more than a simple chalet. It has all the attributes of a home.
