Rising from a flower field, Casa Mullaghmore brings its owners not only improved comfort and additional space, but also upgrades the appearance of the property. The remodeling/extension of this family holiday residence resulted in a fascinating combined architecture. Functional design defines every inch of this beautiful holiday retreat – modern design lines meet the existing architecture in a comfortable, yet challenging way. The extension is composed of a master bedroom and two more generous bedrooms, overlooking stretches of water. The opposed section of the house is occupied by the living zone, kitchen and social space. Designed by Peter Legge Associates, Casa Mullaghmore benefits from as much natural light as possible and the warmth of wood displayed in the interior spaces. When this residence was awarded with an IDI Design awards 2011 for residential interiors, the judges commented: “The obvious winner in this category. Although a very architectural design and layout , the interior finishes fine detailing and choice of material used makes up an intimate living space, fit for vacationing and outdoor life.”
