Remember those fun paper fortune tellers that had real fascination for us as children? We ran across a DIY project that we are certain is going to appeal to your creative side. This pretty pendant lamp in the photos below was made using hundreds of folded fortune tellers (or salt shakers, as some people call them). The process is quite simple: use normal white paper to create the fortune tellers, then glue them (on the center point of the underside of the fortune teller) on a spherical lantern. Allison Patrick created this crazy design by using a pre-existing 16″ paper lantern, which makes the entire light measures approximately 18″ (45 cm) across. If you do not have the time or the patience to put one together yourself, you can purchase the pendant lamp on Etsy, for $250. Does this look like something you would have the patience to achieve?
