When it comes to Scandinavian apartments, the living room always draws attention due to spectacular details. For today we decided to prove that Northern cribs have a lot more to offer than amazing socializing areas. This is why we gathered 30 incredible looking bedrooms that are welcoming and not to mention inspiring. Even though they are all unique, we noticed some similar elements that are worth bringing up. First off, all the bedrooms in the photos below feature large windows that are usually covered by stylish window blinds or subtle curtains. On each side of the king-size bed there are traditional night tables, original shelving units or chairs. The walls are painted mostly in white, but here and there you will notice an interesting color disruption: some of the bedrooms have fresh wallpapers that liven up the room. The lighting details are particularly interesting to observe. We invite you to have a look at this beautiful bedroom gallery and let us know what details you find interesting.

After reaching down the page I just ……
No words to describe the incredible work..
I like all of these designs all though the one room seems to be extremely small. Even so, it does have a nice appearance. I also enjoy the color of the walls of the one room. it’s not exactly a “pea green” and it works really well with the objects.
I am really intrigued by the bedding. What are they using on the beds in some of the pics. They look like fluffy sleeping bags for each person or possibly down mattress with a duvet?

Thank you for your help with this and look forward to your input!

In Scandinavia we use a type of duvet called “dyne”. It’s not a typical duvet.

Very beautiful yes. By Scandinavian standards nowhere close to modern. Rather classic and conservative.
GREAT, FRESH AND SO ALIVE!
scandinavian style is very human dedicated. at first sight it might be considered stuffed, but it’s not like that. scandinavian style uses relativly small spaces for bedrooms and that’s why iy might be cconsidered stuffed. anyways I like swedish style. it fits my personality
Well, for me as a swede these bedrooms do not represent anything, these types of “fresh” look is what you see in 90% of all Swedish homes! There is really nothing extraordinary to it and almost all furniture is ikea!

When I lived in Norway for a few years, I got really used to using a duvet (dyne) with a cover (dynetrekk). Each person has their own duvet to cuddle up in (no “hogging the sheets and blankets” issues!) The covered duvet serves as a top sheet and comforter in one. I can’t imagine sleeping any other way now. Back in the US again, I have converted all my flat sheets into duvet covers now.
It doesn’t matter the type of furniture. What I like in those bedrooms is that they are far from being convectional, they speak real about a free life style, where casualty and intruders are well digested, where a sleeping room is not a place to show how rich or sophisticated you are, but just the right place to “die” and “reborn” every night and morning, being this the most important ritual of our every day life!
I like the clean designs – and open space. The use of a splash of color to complement the whites adds a lot of drama. Except for 1, I noticed every one is staying at white or close to white linen (a few have a light single color). Maybe keeping everything subdued and then adding a spark of color in the linen will also have an interesting effect.

Great blog! All of these rooms are beautiful and they all incorporate the many Swedish design styles. One of our favorite things about having a Swedish decorating style is that it can be used and incorporated into so many different design schemes. Great job!
What a fantastic post! Some of those designs and pictures are magical, will be re-designing the bedroom soon and definately returning here for some ideas thankyou!!
