Freshome Readers, It’s Time You Let Us In On Your Design Secrets!

Here at Freshome we like to believe that we have created a community, a large group of people sharing our interests for creativity and quality in design. We know that most of you are passionate about this fascinating field, and we would like to get to know your design attitudes. We think it would be really fun and useful if you guys would express your interests and share opinions about certain publications that you read on a regular basis. In order to do that, we would like to address a few reader questions:

1). Do you watch any TV shows that are related to the fields of interior designs and architecture? If so, what are they called and where are they being broadcast?

2). Can you recommend a few books that you consider “a must” for the young designers trying to build a carrier?

3). What magazines do you usually read?

4). What are your favorite sites on design and architecture, the ones that you consider have a valuable content?

5). Do you have any other sources of inspiration when it comes to decorating, aside from the ones listed above?

Please leave a comment and share your design tastes with us. We are looking forward to all your answers.

As a designer & design blogger, I watch and read design things all the time – plus they’re fun, pretty to look at and informative.
TV: HGTV of course and the specific shows vary but I love Divine Design, Design on a Dime, and Designer Challenge (don’t think that’s on any more)
Books: Too many to list – I own a lot and usually just find one chapter or one fabulous idea per book that I refer to again and again.
Magazines: Elle Decor, Traditional Home, Coastal Living & BHG for their “crafty” ideas.
Websites: Your Decorating Hotline has lots of specific tips & instructions from color to accessorizing, House of Turquoise features rooms & vignettes in every shade of the color, Bright Bold & Beautiful features giveaways, decor ideas and ETSY finds, Nesting Place shares the trials and tribulations of decorating her home & shares great info along the way.
Other Inspiration: Photography sites (beautiful colors & photos), walks in nature (textures & colors) and surfing online (always interesting to read how other people tackle problems in their homes & lives).

1). HGTV’s show “Color Splash” with design star David Bromstad, heis designs for interiors are very, what you call Freshhh, he uses a lot of art in design, very modern slick furniture & accessories & bright colors here & there, very great designer, in fact my fav. for the most part
& ALSO CMTV’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” hosted by designs star Ty Pennington, & his crew, they recieve videos from families who are in need of a home makeover, their team goes out to the family & reaches them, sends them off on vacation while they & community get involved in the project to build an entire home in 7 days, this show just touches your heart & that has inspired me to learn architecture

2). Not really, I actually need some good books

    3). None, need those too

4). Sites: This one is most definately my favorite, I also like dornob & MoCo Loco, TrendHunter, Home-Designing, & BestHomeNews

5). Not really, I find inspiration in everything though a ring to create a bed & coffee table, a cylinder tube from the bathroom rolls of paer to create a multifunctional & eco friendly toilet, storage, sink, & hand dryer etc, I have designed these things all thats left is to produce it :)
