Teenage girls room decorating ideas generally differ from those of boys. But while decorating a teenage girl’s room you should remember to make it look like a princess abode, and remember that a teenage girl’s room is her castle. So since you here we suppose that you are looking for fresh design ideas for pretentious and stylish teenage girls right? In this post we will try to give a hand. For today we’ve gathered together a set of 25 pictures which represent young girls’ rooms. We tried to do a various selection: we went with some serious and sober interiors, but we also gave a shot to the familiar and very popular pink, orange and red arrangements. All of the rooms are practical, featuring working spaces, small bookcases or shelving systems for books and Cds and beautiful cabinets especially designed for teenage girls. Last but not least, we consider the mirror to be a mandatory item in any girl’s bedroom, so in some of the photos below you will notice they have a special status. Even though not all the room design ideas have a particular theme, the decorating elements are very well interconnected creating interiors that are both functional and aesthetic. Have a look!

As a teenage girl, I can honestly say that the only two rooms which appeal to me in any way are the tenth one and the last one. The rest look like a marshmallow vomited on them. Stereotypical and kinda disgusting.
@Fay, that is your opinion, of course. I, however, was admiring the variety in the designs, happy that they weren’t all excessively girly, because, of course, that WOULD be stereotypical. There are girls that do like that kind of thing, however, and I thought this list was very good in portraying different styles for different people. You did find TWO that you liked, didn’t you? Each and every one wasn’t meant to suit each and every girl.

I adore these room ideas for young girls. Some are for a little younger girl but my favorite has to be the one with the Audrey Hepburn picture on the wall. Its trendy, flirty, and girly. These ideas are so different I could see many personalities being able to shine through with them.

so im a 17 year old teenage girl and only the last room looks remotly livable in. no personal aspects to any of them just random decorative ornaments like numbers (i spotted a 10 and a 5). and as a teenage girl i do not have a buget to build custom long closet all around my room, nor do i have a balcony.
personally i think they should be more realistic about the room sizes most kids dont have a room the size of these. and i personally dont like have of these rooms they look to grown up or kinda kidish.
It just depend on what she likes. I lean toward traditional so I like #2, but it all depends on the colors, style, room size and budget.
i am moving into either a small house or apartment and the ones i like are:
the sixth one
the twelfth one
the thirteenth one (and i’m 13 years old)
the fourteenth one
the sixteenth one
the seventeenth one
the nineteenth one
and there are some that I like but would never use
As a teenage Girl I think that they all looked stunning but some looked better than others also the rooms looked way bigger than most teens have.
These are way too overboard. I mean who has money to do all this. I personally do not like any of them. Some are too girly whille others are just plain ew. Put something that could possibly be real please.
i’m 13 and really dont like any of them some are really childish because teens want there bedrooms to look older by the way i’m not being rude its just what i think and the rest are just horrid yuck ew
I like most of them. They are right, they are quite unrealisitc. But these are options. Plus Sanydy’s right. They aren’t just for you. They’re for every girl out there. The girly one, the tomboy. the artsy, the jock, EVERYONE. So you may not like it, but that doesn’t mean there not good designs.They each have great color and beautiful peices that coordinate well with each other. The pictures are something that could be totally different! These weren’t meant to be copied exactly. Just to give you ideas and peices. And that’s coming from a thirteen year old girl aspiriring to be and interior designer.

as a 15 year old. i would say a lot of these rooms look like they were designed by some 40 year old women who loves photography, and the outdoors and lives in uptown new jersey. there pathetic. some of them are cute for maybe 10 year olds but they look way to modern and boring.
for instance i hate how some of the beds are so boring and look so dull and quite frankly UNCOMFORTABLE.. they look like dog beds.. teens want a big fluffy bed thats extremely comfortable !! and looks it to!!!
i like some of these but i agree with caroline about the huge squishy beds, i think the bed should be the focal point of the room

I agree that these rooms are unrealistic and too perfect. I’m currently trying to re-decorate my room and none of the above were helpful in providing even the slightest inspiration. Most of them are twice the size of my room; and alot of the furniture just wouldn’t fit. If anyone has pictures of rooms that are smaller and something do-able, let me know.
i like a lot of the rooms but who has the money for that . we just sent one of my siblings down to florida for college(we live no where near florida) and now this year we are sending another sbling offf to college no way
im a teenager, and for me i personally like alot of these designs, there not all stereotypical. but it does seem like an old woman has made them and she doesnt really know what teenagers like. so maybe she should get some input from real teenagers

Most of these rooms are okay, but none of them gave me any idea wse on how to redecorate my room. First of all, every single one f these rooms are way bigger then mine. Second of all, who has that kind of money to buy all that expencive looking furnishing?
I am 20 y/o, I am in the United States Army and I live on post as a single soldier. The rooms the the single soldiers are given to stay in are very ugly and difficult to decorated I got several Ideas from this site and I enjoyed the different styles. Thank you.
Whos bedroom is actually that big! mine is like 1/3 of that, maybe even less and my room is considered large!

hi i am a 13 year old girl and i would just like to say that although i found loads of gr8 rooms i think that the room sizes are a bit big considering that i and all of my friends have very small bed rooms.
but i did love the vareation in room colours and layouts and i aggre with sandy she speeks with such wizdome and no afence fey but your not looking and the big picture althought you only found 2 that you liked and i l only found 3 that i liked i bet you and i didn’t like the same ones so it’s good to have a range, for everyone to look and love.
i think some of these desines are a bit rebelish some wird colours mied together but some of them tottley work and some of them flunked.
i love all these desines.

Im 13 and i personally didn’t like any of them. Im not trying to be mean but most teenage girls want a more mature natural type room not flowes and polkadots.
Ugh! PINK PINK PINK It seems the only thing these people can think of! Teen girls are in the stage where PINK is uncool! I know cause I am one and if a TEEN LOVES pink she’s still growing!

I liked alot of the room designs you have here but I think most of them are extremley unrealistic, like most girls don’t have rooms that size….most of those rooms were massive and had stairs etc. But I did like the designs!
12 was surely the BEST!!!! Because it has a bathroom, a rug, two beds, a litle hangout center on the top and is just amazing!!!!!!!!!

I’m 13 and I like to say that these layouts, ideas for bedrooms are great. Considering the fact that i have a big bedroom. I do agree with you Olivia 12 is the best, I love that they are not afraid of putting a little spot up there to chill or even to just sit there and enjoy time. It may be hard to believe that I have a room that big but it is very true.

I really like alot of these rooms plus u cud combine them to get like the best room ever!!!! i liked the multi-coloured spots on the walls i 1 of the rooms x i loved the second pink room x there is a really good range for all different teen girls even the more boyish girls i thought x

I really enjoyed looking at some of these designs but really who could afford the room style, plus not everyone has a room that big, just giving my oppinion I think you should add more of a variety like homto decorate a tiny bed room! And maybe a medium bedroom or a Midteen and not to modern I found this very future like and is not what anybody in my small town does! Thanks Just putting that outheir!
Being a teen girl myself, I have to say this is not realistic whatsoever. I don’t know about all the other girls, but I would have liked something WITHOUT having to go out and buy everything new. That’s just my opinion, some of these were great to dream about..but not all of us could afford this.

we just moved in to our new house and I was looking for a gorgeous design for a gilrly room specially I want my friends to come over. Then I saw these cute styles and I was wondering if you could suggest me what coul be better. My room is kinda small, maybe a size of a small veranda and I have my little window above. I am 13 and have to share a room with my si. She is 19 and we have TOTALLY different styles. So there is just another example of ho people have different tastes. I personally like the second one the thirteenth. My sister however likes the last one. But i do agree most people dont have the space OR money. I think that they should do more realistic and affordable room. Sorry if I sound rude or snobby but that is teh first and surely the last thing that me and my sis agree on
Im 13 and have to share a room with my sis whos 15 and everything sparklyand pink, turquise like seriously .Yea i like number 13 and 21 but doesnt mean im gonna get it. Listen. I’m seventeen and frankly I don’t know anyone my age who’d actually like one of these rooms (no offense). They all just seem so busy and cluttered. I admit, the loft is totally awesome and having a bathroom in my room would be a dream come true, but next time, try designing something more simplier. That way the teen can decorate it with things THEY like. Sorry for the harsh criticism.

Well i do like some of the characteristics of these rooms im 14 and for my birthday i want to redo my room well i looked this website up and i found that most of this stuff is really expensive so im just picking certain things i like outta each picture….myabe in the future try designing for smaller less expensive rooms

These are very different rooms. Personly for me, a 12 year old i like the 1st and 2nd. But could you try post a cath kidston style room… that’s affordable.

Okay, these bedrooms are nice and all but who really has rooms with a balcony and a full glass window wall and a giant skylight in their room? Not the average family. So maybe you should make more pratical ideas. You would have been of more help to the other people who also commented agreeing with me. And anyways most of these ideas were no where near anything that i’d think would be a teenage girl’s room. Most of them look like like lifeless hospital rooms. Just saying.

I actuallly really like these rooms, there really neat. But in case you havn’t noticed alot of teen girls(or at least the ones i know), aren’t exactly up there on the money scale. i mean there not broke, but they cant go buy stuff like this for an affordable price. And usually the ones who can, well they dont use the internet for there bedroom ideas. They probably use the months top teen room magazine or somthing like that.lol I’m just saying, the girls that actually use this site for ideas probably wouldnt be able to use this stuff. Maybey a more realistic list of teen room would be better for our use. Besides real talent is making your room look amazing with a small bugdet. Being creative!
Everyones saying these rooms look like hospital rooms, or rooms for little kids, or adult women maybey. But there not, maybey one or two of them are, but these rooms really would be great teen rooms. For people who could afford it, and have enough money to where they don’t have to be practical. So like i said before, these rooms are really neat, just not practical, or probably not even affordable.
And like Kelllyyy(= said, the balcony, full glass windows, and the giant skylight isn’t somthing the average family has. And avarage family girls are the ones who will be using this website, trying to find ideas. These rooms are more like somthing we dream about. Not actually have in reality.
Well, my sister and I have been sharing bedrooms at two different homes for almost eleven years now, and my mom and stepdad are getting ready to build onto our house, which will give me my own room, of course my sister will bw gwtting a room with a door, a small closet, and one window, while I will be left with our ‘master bedroom’ so I’ll have the bathroom, a wlk in closet, and a two windows, i really want a new, cool design with pretty colors, i’de prefer no pink and purple, and a queen sized bed, though these are all wonderful ideas, my friends don’t have rooms this big, and my ceilings arent that high…do you have any ideas that might fit my room??

You are all totally missing the point of this. These are ideas for you, not things that you HAVE to do.So maybe you like the first or the second or the 24th. Maybe you don’t have the space or the money. What you could do is look for things in your room that are similar to the things in the picture. Secondly the reason the walls in some are bare are for a reason. The space on the wall if for you to hang your posters or pictures or just random stuff you like. Also if you notice how in some pictures the desk, bed, and entertainment area are like one huge piece. Perfect for small rooms. I am 13 and I am getting my room redone for my birthday and also looking for designs for my room. While I like some of these none are any I feel express myself so I won’t be choosing any designs similar to those in the pictures.
Postscript: Goodwill, World Market, and Walmart are great cheap places to look for bedspread, pillows, furniture and accesories.

Guys, in case you aren’t aware there are materials to paint a room that are not expensive..especially if you do it yourself. Also you can design a room based on someone else’s design. Your room doesn’t have to look EXACTLY like the designer’s. And, of course, you have to adjust a design to the size and shape of your room. Just putting that out there because there’s a very small chance that you will find a design that if made FOR you and your room..

I LOVE # 3. I’ve mached most of it sofar in my room but cant seem to find the bed style. I also love # 4 and have merged some of that style into my room. I have a on-suite and i would like to know if its fashionable to match your bathroom with your bedroom. It looks odd seeing the contrasting colours. Help me!!!!! Thanks

all these rooms are SUPER cool. Awesome creativity! But next time, it’d be great if maybe you guys could design a room thats, well, more affordable looking/ realistic. I mean, c’mon, we’re teenagers who dont really have THAT much extra cash on hand to use on hand haha. And maybe ‘simpler’ room sizes. The loft one is super cool, but its not like everyone has a loft in their room. . . . awesome ideas though!
Ok.. these ideas are cool. BUT im 14 and i personally would not pick any of these for my room. Bold colors like these are going to go out of style. They seem cold and bare. The rooms are too big. A normal room would be around 11×12. I personally will not want bold colors, i wouldn’t want them because say when im 17 i dont want people to think im imature. A room should yes desribe a persons personallity but a room should transition easily from young teen to older teen. And people dont want to redo their room every year or two…sorry for being so harsh.

i like the rooms I just feel like a lot of them are girly when not all girls are all about the pink and lacy frill thing. i also looked at the boys rooms and i liked more of those than i did of these–but the one i really liked on this was the one with the ladder that led to this cool loft thing–it would need to be a different color but it was pretty cool

i agree with lily and not any with lizzy cuz if your room is small than make it so that things can fit in your room but most importantly make it so its your style and that you will injoy going in your room every day. plus if you hated your room the way you desinged you would have to spend more cash witch you would not want. i mean these are really good desings that is on the website, and people will love these desings too but others wont but for me i LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE these desings. dont give up cuz of people who dont like these ideas, keep doing what you love cuz people like me love your ideas and other people do to and it would break there heart to know that you quit!!!!:) welp hope to see more of your designs! later! <3

ahhh these room are huge!, thanks making them realistic, especially with all the sun lighting and windows, most of us id think atleast. have no lighting or a little lighting but have mopstly light bulb for lighting

Definitely prefer the classic looking bedrooms to modern. Although the modern bedrooms look artistic and clean, they look too cold for my taste. I like soft, warm colors rather than bold and bright ones for bedrooms. I think it’s because brighter colors make me feel more awake, but when I am in a bedroom I want to relaxed and be calm. When I was a little girl I had a canopy bed — the hangings always made me feel like I was a princess in a fairytale or something. Fast forward 30 years later, and I still want to feel that way…my bedroom is decorated with Victorian accent pieces from LookInTheAttic. They restore heirloom pieces and do custom finishing. I am quite happy with my bedroom, but my daughter is the complete opposite from me — she wants to have bright pink polka dots all over her room. What do you say people? Should I give in?

I’m a 14 year old girl, and I am re-doing my small bedroom. None of these (with the exception of the first one) are realistic or what I’m looking for. I hate the unoriginality of the modern rooms and the pompous air in the others.
I’m interested in function and beauty in my room; not space age cubicles with a splash of color here and there. Please include rooms that are actually realistic and comfortable. I don’t understand this obsession with doctor’s office style bedrooms…

I wish I were a teenager again! It is wrong for a 30 something to want bedrooms like these? I especially liked the room with the pink sun-ray type stripes on the wall. Very cute!
