Sustainability in Action:The Ecorium Project in South Korea, A Giant Nature Reserve

Advertising

Designed by SAMOO, the Ecorium Project comes from the initiative of The National Ecological Institute of South Korea and it consists of an impressive 33,000 square meter area of natural environment.  Considering that man usually influences nature in a negative way, this project comes as an interesting and yet insignificant pay-back. However, it is a good starting point for similar ideas in the future. The construction features eco domes, greenhouses built with plexiglas and wood, a water reserve and an education center. One of the main target when building this”artificial nature giant” was to provide education and teach pupils everything there is to know of the importance of eco systems and how to preserve them. -via Inhabitat
