When you’re decorating on a budget, sometimes it’s a do-it-yourself project that gets most of your attention and your guests eyes. To prove that and if you have too much wire left from your television, designer Maisie Maud Broadhead has come up with a simple series of installations created with wire flex and cable fixings that mimic a fireplace frame. Together with a small lamp to focus your attention, you’re basically allowed to create whatever form you like. So how about a small elephant in the kids’ room? – via T&T

I have to say that one thing I’ve always disliked about European apartment buildings is all of the external cables that are common in a lot of them. Your post is a fantastic example of taking something and embracing it to make it more interesting and appealing.
This isa cool concept but I wish that it light up,it looks like it would. I think it would also work on a colored wall, maybe orange or blue.
