Writing Studio in the Woods by Andrew Berman 

This 1,520 s.f building called Private Library was designed by Andrew Berman Architect as a library and studio for a writer. We wrote about this project and published a few images in 2008 ( here ), but today I’ve found a short film about New York architect Andrew Berman’s dream project. Commissioned to design a writing studio in the woods in Long Island, he took the challenge and created a building which seems to float in a sea of foliage. The film, while informative conveys the tranquility of the building by simply inviting you to enter and experience the pace of the writer’s world inside.     This is the closest thing I’ve seen to the idea for a writers studio I’ve been imagining for years… absolutely beautiful… a wonderful creative sanctuary.
