Blue Solar Tiles, Looks And Sustainability

Blue Solar Tiles, Looks And Sustainability

Solar panels are no longer a thing of the future, but are slowly starting to be accepted and used by the population worldwide. People begun to understand their utility and despite their high prices, the need for alternative energy sources that in time will prove worthy of the initial investment. This project is called Solé Power Tile, it is actually a reinvention of the solar panels as we know them and comes with an upgrade: great and modern look. There is also a high functional feature that comes with the system which is that if a tile is broken, the others will continue to work independently. -via CoolThings

You are mistaken. The Solé Power Tile is not a reinvention of the solar panel, it is a fraud – it is the image-editing software that makes the PICTURES look good.

You are the latest victim of the massive, blatant marketing fraud perpetrated by SRS Energy.

There is nothing eco-friendly, economical or smart about these tiles. They are made of plastic (which is made from oil), they are prohibitively expensive (double, if not triple, the cost of regular solar panels systems), and they underperform, degrade, heat up the roof, and have an atrocious dark blue color in the real world (but, yes, on the digitally altered pictures, they look great!). And have you wondered who is going to replace the failing tiles, when SRS Energy is out of business within a year or two?

There can’t be other colors – the horrendous dark blue color comes from the photovoltaic material – it cannot be altered!

The details about the fraud (including the fake pictures and the patently false performance claims) can be found here:

Wow, that is simply ingenious. I would never have thought that solar panels could be used in such a way.
