Hide Your Valuable Stuff with Air Vent Secret Compartment

The Air Vent Secret Compartment is supposed to be a hidden place where you can hide your stuff. You can hide stuff under your mattress or behind various other things that a thief would want to steal, but that’s pretty unorganized. What if you could hide your valuables inside of something that’s so common, that it’s completely out of sight? With approximately one trillion air vents in the U.S. alone, the chances of a thief discovering your air vent safe are extremely minimal ( of course if he doesn’t already ready Freshome and saw this post ). To install it, just cut out a section of drywall, and put in the compartment fastening it with screws. It opens with a mechanism that is hidden in the grill and no one will see your stuff thanks to a black divider. Is not to safe, but is very well hidden you have to admit. Price : $260

  2. I guess it could be a good idea, but I’m not sure I’d want to add an extra vent to a room. Not exactly the sexiest way to hide valuables. I wonder how secure it is beyond just the fact that it looks like a vent. How easy is it to break into?

  3. I saw a program where an ex-burglar demonstrated how he broke into
houses and what places he looked first. Going by that, your
valuables would have been safe. At $260 though, you might be better
off getting the bits you need from your local hardware store and
    knocking one up yourself.

Hmm. Good idea, bad idea. Once word gets out about this burglars will start ripping out the vents of every place they break into!

Also, I wonder if the designer when creating this was inspired by the movie “No Country for Old Men” where air vents were used to hide money :)
