Floating Drawer Bed

Floating Drawer Bed

The Floating Drawer Bed is project made by Scott Sykor and he made this project because he wanted to design and build a simple bed frame which would allow him to conserve space in his room. The outer frame is made from 1×3 boards of maple and the drawer box is constructed using furniture grade plywood. The outer frame comes apart for easy transportation and the drawer set solved all my clothing storage needs. The most interesting part of this project is the illusion of the drawer set suspended in midair, a really cool effect that can draw a lot of attention. – Via – Yankodesign

Yes I’ve said, but I’ve corrected my mistake. :)

Elegant is certainly not a word I would use, but contemporary and simple are. This is a functional unit I would recommend for dorm rooms and very small apartments. The space below the bed could have been used a little better – there is a lot of unused space not accessible due to the drawers.

Great idea to be able to access stuff stored under the bed.
