Livio De Marchi is a Venetian master sculptor who works exclusively in wood, and he can create some amzing stuff. He loves wood so much that everything around him is made from pure wood, starting from furniture, house, car and many more, as you can see from these pictures.
Here’s his wooden house, crafted entirely by hand.

100% Wood

Wooden clothing

The house from outside

Finally his wooden car, that can also be used as a boat

This looks terribly drab, boring, and antiquated. Only thing i could think is old person. If i walked into his house i would throwup.
The guy is talented though. and makes some beautiful stuff, but someone should introduce him to a paint brush, maybe a little brushed aluminum.
October 5th, 2007 at 7:42 pm
i wanna have a fire in that house
October 5th, 2007 at 7:47 pm
Wow, amazing talent, but I’d be scared of slivers in every part of my body. Would be really neat to stain all that a nice Cherry color. @omg wtf orly? What about the starving kids in africa? heh

“Kids crying for a bowl of rice, and this guy blows his money this way? Great.”
Kids crying for a bowl of rice, and you blow your money on an computer and an internet connection, as well your time reading blogs? Hypocritically great.
October 5th, 2007 at 8:11 pm

I hope he has good fire insurance.

Beautiful – amazing technique with the fabrics. It’s very rare to see wood being used so sculpturally. Great stuff.
October 5th, 2007 at 10:20 pm
crying out for rice ,are you mad this guy makes all this himself probably cost him a whole lot les in raw materials then it cost you to decorate your house what a bad point !

casper911ca … are you stupid?
HE’S A MASTER SCULPTOR WHO WORKS WITH WOOD.
What part of that don’t you understand?
He’s a guy who’s devoted his entire life to sculpting and apparently wood. It’ll be like giving a surgeon a few television parts and expecting him to make a plasma screen outta that. Wood isn’t paint. It’s not even liquid!
And to say “this guy is talented tho” – that implies that he’s somewhat of a rising talent. Again, he is a master sculptor who works with wood.
People need to understand that art is how artists express themselves. And people express themselves in different ways, in different styles, using different techniques to accentuate those styles, and using differing mediums as well. For a sculptor to use wood is like a poet to use the word “avaricious” rather than “greedy” instead. A that poet’s poem, the use of that particularly word would affect the entire poem.
And it seems that a lot of people on the internet do not understand such a simple thing. I’m pissed off by the ignorance.
So I just wanted to say that. Bored. SAT’s tommorow. Nothing to do.

pretty bad someone has so much bitterness in them that they have to criticize someone else’s passion and joy in life. omg wth orly. find something in your life to be passionate about and stop doggin others passions. you made a good point kellie.
October 6th, 2007 at 5:09 pm
Thank you Pissed off for no reason. Good to know there are still a few reasonable, thinking people out there.
It is beautiful ART.
And for those of you wishing his work would burn?? Shame on you. Are your hearts filled with such hatred?
October 6th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
This stuff is crazy!
Does that guy have a website?
October 7th, 2007 at 6:34 pm

BUT with a web name like that makes ya think” He talks the talk” BUT————

personally, i believe that everyone has their own opinion and what you think of something can’t be controlled by others, however, you as a Human Being (as hard as that may be to believe) should have enough common decency to respect what someone else loves and is damn good a doing. Hate all you want but take it somewhere else. People often take advantage of being able to leave things anonymously, seems more challenging to say something nice and helpful.

Well, he just got a bad case of termites. That’s what i read at wowomg.com
October 9th, 2007 at 10:04 pm

October 10th, 2007 at 2:41 pm
Actually the kids screaming for rice a probably being intentionally starved by warring government factions. Personally I don’t feel like buying rice to send to a tyrannical government. Ohh, yeah almost forgot, nice wood.

November 25th, 2007 at 11:38 pm
the first thought that came to mind as i scrolled past the first pic was , what a big waste of fucking materials and money not to mention time. he could have done so much more with his instead of making these things… wooden clothing, come on. though i would like to have a ride in that car. the man is very skilled but i would consider making things like this to be just a hobby.
November 27th, 2007 at 5:46 pm
Doen’t bother me a bit what this guy does with his time or money. If he goes against the grain, it’s his choice.
January 23rd, 2008 at 4:52 pm
Hi there folks!
I like this foru msooo much, thanks for the creators.
January 24th, 2008 at 1:16 am
Starving kids? lmao, it’s probably more than likely that the man cut the lumber from his own property, in which case the cost to him would be the fuel he used to run a portable saw mill, and him carving the wood was his own time aka free. I’m not sure how him doing that, causes kids to cry over bowls of rice, but whatever you say.
April 6th, 2008 at 4:12 am
Wow. Let’s hope there’s no fire there. Hope he’s not a smoker!

We were just in Venice and stayed at an apartment next to this guy’s shop. It was truly amazing! We met him and he wasn’t weird, instead he seemed like a friendly guy and very proud of his work. He also had some glass art and painted wood sculptures. Very cool!!
May 5th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Does that car come with wooden airbags?
Jokes aside, I think those are truly impressive, especially the car and the clothes, talented!
