The Light Drop by the Brazilian designer Rafael Morgan is the second project of this designer that I present on this blog, after last month I’ve presented you Hope Table. The interesting part of this innovative lighting design is : “Drop Light” is a lamp out of steel and silicone functioning by LED whose light intensity is controlled while turning the tap. Unfortunately these lamps are not to sell: they are only concepts suggested by the Brazilian designer Rafael Morgan, but the ideas suggested by him are very interesting.

[via freshome] [...]

Hi,
Thanks for believing in my work!
I am currently looking for someone to produce my designs.
I really could use some help.
Regards,
Rafael Morgan, Brazil.
Hello Rafael !
I’m glad that you are here, and about your designs who knows maybe someone will see them and maybe will contact you. Until now I have 531 RSS subscribers and other people who come daily to my website. Maybe one of them can give you a little help. Or do you have some ideas ? I’ll be glad to help you, and see your designs “alive”.
I am usually on a look out for such intersting things for my blog and the drop light is indeed a unique concept. Thanks Freshome for updating us and Rafael u simply rock!!
I would like to add your site to my blogroll…Hey it will be great if we add each other in our blogrolls…visiting eath other will be easy then.
fantastic design!
for a second i thought that turning the faucet extended the
light – that would be amazing. this might be possible if the baffle material was made of a temperature sensitive material – similar to the wax in a lava lamp. i am not aware of a suitable material though.
Rafael you are a real visionary, i hope your designs get picked up quickly.
