Designed by MARTINarchitects, this transparent loft in Kiev makes you question your need for privacy. What does privacy mean to you and how can you play with it to shape inspiring living spaces? An unusual feeling follows the transparency between living spaces, dining spaces and the bedroom. Not many people can see themselves living in a home that flaunts a lack of interest in conformity.
Architects Igor Martin and Olga Novikova of MARTINarchitects knew how to create a space that is both soothing and engaging.
An eye-catching green wall lines one side of the dining space, while the other wall is made out of brick. In-between, floor-to-ceiling windows expose guests at the table to stunning city panoramas. The transparent loft occupies 115 square meters. Overlooking the city of Kiev through expansive windows, the sophisticated loft spaces flow from one into another. Belonging to a dynamic young lawyer, this bachelor pad was designed with his owner’s lifestyle in mind. Once per week, the owner and his friends get together to play table games.
This is what guests experience: a contemporary loft design infused with Ukrainian craftsmanship. Apart from being a smart house that complies to the owner’s personal phone requests, the transparent loft ahowcases a clearly bold bachelor style. Igor Martin’s furniture pieces from HIS (Home Ideas Supply) make a debut in this exemplary loft design. For example, the fascinating lights that make up the bedroom’s cozy atmosphere can be found in Igor Martin’s collection. Photographs by Igor Karpenko helps us imagine being there, eating at that inviting dining table and sleeping in the elegant bedroom.
How would you go about your day if this transparent loft was your home?
