South African born designer Louis Henri Buhrmann creates “sophisticated luxury combined with comfort and calm”, completing glamorous apartments in London, the Cote d’Azur, Paris and Dubai. Everything from furniture to carpets, chandeliers to door handles is custom made to the highest standards. Located in the desirable “Golden Triangle” in Paris, the 3500 square-foot Avenue Montaigne Apartment was designed a second home for its owner. With en-suite bedrooms, reception rooms and staff areas, the space is an opulent blend of traditional French elegance, technology and contemporary style.

The most dramatic feature in the Avenue Apartment is the peacock feather stained glass panel in the hallway, inspired by the Parisian Art Nouveau or Belle Epoque. Louis spent a year tracking down the precise pieces of glass he needed to achieve his idea. “I envisioned something that would create a statement any day of the year. In a second home, it’s not practical to have fresh flowers every day, but I wanted visitors to the apartment to be greeted by color and light.”  Other highlights include the hand painted silk walling and bespoke lighting elements spread throughout the apartment. [Photos and information provided via e-mail by Louis Henri]
