Crowdfunding projects allow creative minds to turn ideas into businesses, but it all depends on the interest shown by the public. Spotted on Kickstarter, this intriguing decorative object might put a smile on your face, as the designer hopes. Bordering on bizarre, the Giant Stash Pillowcase is a simulated sack of Sour Diesel cannabis that covers your pillows and places a smile on your guest’s face. Imagine giving this marijuana-printed pillowcase as a gift and seeing their reaction – it should be priceless.

Designer Ryan Christensen admits his passion for creating “bizarre, colorful or illusory” objects has led him to envision things like desktop dumpsters or street-inspired prints gathered under the name Steel Plant. The designer based in Washington State imagined an intriguing pillowcase that looks like “a plus size zippy full of cannabis” and seeing amused responses from people, he decided to stick with this idea and work with different companies to get the project going.

Many factories, samples, and prototypes later, I have a pillowcase that is really looking and feeling the way I had envisioned. The printing is great and the material is just the right sheen. The black interior lining and pocket make the inside feel as nice as the outside, and helps them feel substantial.” With a zipper top and internal pocket, the subversive project needs more supporters. If you like the idea, you might want to consider helping the designer improve it by taking a look at the pledge options on the project’s Kickstarter page.
