The Peninsula House in Long Beach, California by LeMaster Architects displays an original modern architecture and a compact shape. The concept for this single family residence “hinges on the relationship between three intersecting volumes and a base. The primary volume consists of an exterior cladding system that wraps the south elevation. Two secondary volumes are inserted to focus views and highlight significant programmatic elements“, explained the architects. A creative addition for outdoor relaxation is the roof deck, especially envisioned to bring the family together during warm evenings.

All rooms feature white walls and inspiring wooden additions, resulting in a welcoming atmosphere. Decorating elements with a subtle aesthetic effect break the minimalism- driven monotony. All interiors are bathed in light, due to the use of large windows. Moreover, both the living and dining room can be extended outside with the help of sliding glass doors. Enjoy the photos!
