With a total surface of 67 square meters, this cozy apartment in Moscow envisioned by studio Odnushechka did not leave us indifferent. The project consisted in the rehabilitation of a cramped space with a poor layout. For the architects, the main challenge was to get rid of various design elements that made the apartment feel unwelcoming and create an open space living area for socializing- all within a relatively tight surface.
The result is an elegant apartment, characterized by “Eco-furniture”, antique elements and an overall neutral color palette. The open plan living space is well organized, displaying plenty of practical details together with subtle decorations. Wood is present throughout, adding that much needed sense of warmth. The bedroom is particularly interesting, with its giant bed, nice wooden headboard and matching night stands. We don’t know about you guys, but for us this is a modest and tasteful display of contemporary design.
