This amazing collection of lamps was created by UK-based artists duo EViL ED and Dan Robotic of Evil Robot Designs, who you might remember from a previous post. Stacey shared with us a collection of their work before – the stunningly sculpted bespoke lamps made of toys we grow out of. These lamps are wither made from well-known action figures or customized to every client’s memories using their own toys. Six new lamps are available, all displaying the same surprising conglomeration of toys, grouped under different stories: Alien Nation, Heavy Metal, Forbidden Planet, Babes In Toyland, The Invasion and When Worlds Collide. All of these lamps are finished in a high gloss lacquer and topped with a black and brushed copper empire shade. From bunny girl Suzumiya Haruhi surrounded by Hasbro’s  Transformers, spaceships and robots to DC Comics’ Batman helping iconic Marvel heroes and villains, these lamps portray the struggle to remain part of this wonderful world of creative playfulness. For those of you looking to give your old toys a second life, Evil Robot Designs can customize it to your own needs and bundle of toys.
