Metroarea Architetti Associati have designed a prototype shop for famous brand Illy in Trieste, Italy. Illyteca is a colorful project, the first of a series of shops to be built worldwide. The main idea behind the design was to create a place where all the brands of the company (Illy coffee, Domori chocolate, Dammann Freres tea, Agrimontana jam and bakery products, Mastrojanni wine) would be presented, in a friendly, inviting atmosphere. Wooden boxes with colorful interiors were used as presentation shelves for each product. Natural materials such as oak wood and black granite are contrasted by the jewelery store feeling given by the colorful shelves and lighting scheme. The overall result is not too flashy, but modern and tasteful. Do you find this approach suitable for the values of the brand?
