According to designboom, the “Watson Table” borrowed its name from scientist James Watson, known for discovering the helical structure of DNA. Designed by Paul Loebach, this elegant table will be on display during Milan Design Week 2011 along with three other projects from the collection called ” Some Recent Experiments” and belonging to the same designer. Here is a short product description: “Influenced by English furniture of the late 1600’s, the object features bold, structural legs that are reminiscent of open wood twistings. Made from a wood and carbon composite, the table utilizes the inherent rigidity of carbon as a structural core, creating a symbolic composition of maximum strength with minimal materials.” Stylish and modern, the “Watson Table” can be integrated in a variety of contemporary interiors for an appealing visual effect.
