When I saw this amazing house I’ve remembered of my last year vacation in Greece, where I’ve saw a similar project on an island. This house is owned by Real Estate Executive John Chadwick and I’ve found it in NyTimes. For John Chadwick, two words describe what led him to build a multi million-dollar villa on a peninsula overlooking bustling Patong Harbor: “The view.” And after you take a look at the pictures below you’ll agree that the view is breathless.

The 7,500-square-foot house, sitting on a 12,350-square-foot lot, cost more than $2.5 million to build a few years ago. The top floor of the two-story house includes the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, office and patio. The bottom floor is more for parties, with three more bedrooms, an exercise/game room and a massage room, all surrounding a pool equipped with lighting and sound systems.

Located on eight acres of virgin beach coast on the Gulf of Thailand, the X2 Resort Kui Buri Bungalow is meant to harmonize with its surroundings of undisturbed greenery and calm fishing villages. Kuiburi is a small remote beach city located in the southern part of Thailand, known by few and valued for its tranquil beaches and beautiful surroundings. Drawing upon the site’s natural beauty, the architect Duangrit Bunnag created a resort that seeks to be harmonious with its environment, both in terms or architecture and the use of building materials. As such, natura, ecology and simplicity were fundamental themes in X2’s design. Following this principle, local granite stone and wood were used as the primary raw materials, and at least 95% to pass through the property easily, using natural ventilation to help reduce the overall energy consumption of the resort. - Via - Coolboom
