Designed by Francesco Innocenti and realized by Zerogloss, Laica is a creative storage design for books and magazines, entirely produced in composite material and refinished in six colours. The Laica is finished in a glossy lacquer or soft-touch effect, and is an entirely hand made production.This bookshelf is a good solution for someone who doesn’t have to many books.

After I’ve presented the Pulse Bookshelf ,Måns Salomonsen the designer of this bookshelf contacted us to show us another interesting project named Spine, and here are his words. Spine is the result of a project to make storage furniture whit at least two drawers. I wanted to have the challenge to combine metal and wood in to a modern and elegant design. A part of the challenge was to work whit balance and make the furniture stand on just one leg and make the drawers almost look like they float in the air. It should make people stop and think about how it works. The pedestal follows the curve of the metal stand in the middle, so do also the drawers inside. And if you have two or more of this spine furniture the design should make it possible to fit them together (don’t really work whit this prototype).

The handle on the drawers are under the front so you can’t se them. All the wood work is made in a traditional way and the metal is also al made by hand. The finish on the metal is made by hand so the brush scratches follow the curve of the stand. This furniture is close to art and a much of the work was to get the curve feel right, it should have a smooth flow the whole way from the bottom to the top. The drawers and pedestal are made of am. white oak, and the bottom off the drawers and the Swedish oak. The finish is made whit 3 layers of Danish oil. The metal stand is made of 2mm sheet metal put on a thicker metal skeleton in the middle. After the finish by hand whit sand paper there is one layer of dull varnish.

This low table when is closed it might appear something simple that don’t deserve to much attention.In fact this low table extends and changes its shape by doubling in size revealing generous storage for magazines, books, CD and DVD. This is the beauty of something that looks simple, but in fact is more complex that your eye can see at a first glance. The table is characterized by clean lines, functionality and diverse wood and lacquer finishes combinations between wengé stained oak and white lacquer. Finnaly I can only say that I love this type of furniture that has something hidden. Price : £1168.34

The Double Bass Storage Cabinet is a great piece of furniture for music lovers. I preffered to call it the Contrabass Shaped Storage Cabinet cause I think this sounds better. As you can see here in the picture this is a striking and daintily crafted cabinet that has 6 shelves for inside storage, and can hold up to 265 CDs. The most interesting thing is that when is closed nobody will observe that this is actually a cabinet, so you might use it as a secret hidden place. Prove Shelves are designed by a german company named Creosa. The prove shelves can be used to display your books, cds, etc in a really interesting way. The storing space is limited but enought to store the most important things.
