Based in Vancouver, Surface Collective is a design company that is passionate about revitalizing and transforming any and all flat surfaces into unique & energized spaces. The creative result is a high-end fusion of art and interior design that offers a fresh approach to personalizing your space. Their removable Wall Tattoos, cut from adhesive vinyl, transform a flat space into a work of modern art.

For the Do-It-Yourselfers, a line of pre-designed images is available to buy on the website, and through select retailers. With prices ranging from $50-210 (CDN), you’ll find a design for each individual style and budget. You can customize the vinyl colour to match your décor. The tattoo, in essence a fancy sticker, is easy to apply. All it takes is a clean flat surface, and some time and care on your part to make sure it’s in the ideal spot. Easy to remove, there’s no trace once you take it off the wall, so no need to repaint the surfacethat the decal once covered. SURFACE also offers custom design services. Motivated by a desire to awaken their clients’ creative natures, they can create an exclusive new look for your home or workspace within days. For commercial projects, the final image design is one which is in line with your corporate brand identity.

Water Ball Ripples is a really cool & modern bathroom faucet designed by Smith Newnam. The design looks awesome, and I’m pretty sure that you’ll fall in love with this faucet after you’ll see the pictures. To control the Ripple faucet, you maneuver an electronically-secured metal ball on top of the faucet’s frosted glass surface. Moving the ball in or out from the center controls water pressure. Moving it around controls temperature. A flash heating system ensures that water in the water channel isn’t hot until it’s ready to be mixed, which prevents scolding. The surface glows red or blue to denote how hot or cold it is. Now just image how much fun you can get by playing with this new technology. The bad thing is that the Water Ball Ripple is just a concept right now, but I’m sure that this design has a lot of potential. - Via - Yankodesign

An eye-catching almost futuristic interpretation of the classic rocking chair. A modern, dynamic piece of furniture built for comfort and which accommodates a variety of sitting positions. The shape of the rocking chair was partially inspired by a shell. This gives it a beautiful organic design which is raw on the outside but smooth and refined on the inside. A piece of furniture that provides a unique experience of inner tranquillity. The steel frame has been constructed without any transverse lines thus accentuating the floating appearance of the chair. The shell is made of vacuum-suctioned plastic and comes in black or white, and it can be purchsed from here.
