The designer Marcella Foschi participated in the workshop of the Campana brothers in Milan sponsored by 3M and developed this chair made from sponges. The final design is not such a big deal, and I’m pretty sure that a lot of people could make something like this, but …it has something interesting, and I can imagine a lot of creative products for home based on this simple idea. – Via

When we hear the words “rocking chair” we immediately think at a type of chair with two curved bands of wood (also known as rockers) attached to the bottom of the legs, but Paco Capdell brings us a new vision. The Cuna Rocking Chair uses two wooden squares as the frame and either metal bars or dyneema rope that allow the seat to swing back and forth. According to Contemporist the Cuna Rocking Chair was launched at the Salone in Milan, and will be available in the US at Eurotrend Furniture.
