Just on the other side of the Melbourne Club at the eastern end of the central business district, the Monaco House in Melbourne was designed by McBride Charles Ryan architects for the Honorary Consul of Monaco. Meant to make you stop by, stare for a few seconds and to intrigue, the four storeys high building has a 101 square meters footprint and all a cafe, consular activity, offices, meeting areas and a rooftop garden.

The facade looks to be a geometric game where the architects used all sorts of eye-catching surface textures to make it generously expressive. I think it stands out from all the other buildings on the street. -via KostasVoyatzis
