There is something about Scandinavian interior designers because most of the homes I’ve seen use white in excess, but not this Danish home. With a very good mix of modern and classic, and a lot of white furnishings it still managed to amazed me when I saw how they used colorful accents to suppress all that white. Some of the things I really love about it, includes the kitchen flooring, the simple living room, those pillows and the working space with the red chairs.
Even though they are visual details, if I were to change something, it would be the pictures on the walls. Great for all those looking for inspiration for their kitchen or on how to use as much white as possible.

When thinking how the future will be, I don’t include kitchen designs or kitchen utensils in the big picture, but now that I see the Brandt Aion, I think I should have. A result of Antoine Lebrun’s work, the multi functional kitchen designed for Fagor Brandt is intended for small places and should go along with the lines and curves of our homes in just 10 years.

From what I see, the appliance is going to be a green space in your flat by using plants to improve the quality of life, filtering water and air. Lift the upper part and there’s a cooking surface and a sink. Close it down and the system will start the dish washing process, using vegetable soap (which also provided by the plants).

I think the concept is great, but would you buy one right now if it would be available? – via CoolDesignIdeas

The 1-Line Spice Rack from Desu Design is made from 1/4” thick brushed stainless steel bars, and each piece is meticulously welded and finished to create a seamless line which appears to float on the wall. If you look at the pictures below you can see that this is a very good looking way to keep your spices in your kitchen. The rack can be simply mounted on the wall with two screws, and each spice rack comes with 15 glass mini cube bottles with cork tops. The olive oil bottle is not included, but most standard size bottles will fit. All these cost $199, quite expensive, but at least you have the idea and maybe you’ll use it in future someway.

For those that are serious about the way the kitchen looks like, Snaidero has a few ideas to choose from. With a modern design and features a combination of stainless steel and LED lighting, the Venus kitchen uses a Solid Surface top to make the countertop. It has plenty of storage and though simple, it’s really eye-catching. The Skyline kitchen is a bit different, with an ergonomically adapt design, great color combination and great functionality, it looks pretty neat and uses every space at its best. Last one is the Time kitchen. It looks classic and is not really my style, but I’m sure there are people who’d choose one, if asked. It has lots of details, either teak, cherry, light oak, dark oak or matte lacquer, a 9cm thick worktop and side panels that symmetrically follow the lines of the cabinet. – Via
