Cor furniture takes lounging into another level, by introducing their new Lava Sofa. In collaboration with designers Kristen Antje Hoppert and Steffen Kroll of Studop Vertijet, Core furniture’s Lava Sofa has so many things to offer. The “Lava” is so many things, “a work of art and a piece of sitting-reclining lounge furniture at the same time, the concept of Lava is as diverse as its uses”. The possibilities are endless as the vertical variance reaches down to the floor as soft, upholstered mats transform even this surface into part of the furniture. – Via

The DeskChair by Wolf Brinkman is a really unusual idea that has an integrated comfy chair built inside the desk itself that faces away from the desk and your work area. When I’ve saw for the first time this design, I was left without words, because usually I’m looking for things that can really be used, and for something like this I didn’t found any use at that moment. After I’ve thought a little I came to this conclusion that you can use this “desk chair” when you are taking a break from your computer monitor, and use that break to face away from your desk and relax your eyes.

We have presented the Skateboard Shelf a few months ago, but today here is something more extreme, every piece of furniture is inspired by a skateboard. Skate Study House (SSH) is an innovative design concept specializing in recreating popular furniture through the vision of a skateboarder. The movement of a skateboarder constantly changes it recreates itself by transcending boundaries and inventing ways to conquer obstacles. It’s constantly about anticipation and adaptation to one’s environment. The same is true for living design. The combination of the two produces a mixture of contemporary lifestyle, art and action sports culture, which is all found in this unique collection. I’m pretty sure that skaters will absolutely love this idea.

The italian furniture company MOCO designed Ptolomeo ( picture 2 ) in 2004. Four years later, Ex libris is born, a table obviously inspired by Ptolomeo, with the wisest legs in the world.
