In these days more and more people live in small apartments, because the prices for buying or renting an apartment are higher and higher every year. Now the most challenging issue with living in a small apartment is not the size of the apartment itself, but all the things you have to organize in a small place. Many apartment dwellers find themselves dealing with overcrowded apartment homes because of the economical advantages, sacrificing functionality for an affordable living arrangement. The solution for this problem is to create a living area that is comfortable, enjoyable, and at the same time maximizing your space. I’ve decided to post a few pictures with small apartments because in the last weeks a few people sent me emails asking me if I can post a few interior design ideas for small apartments, and here are a some interesting projects.

For those of you who love trendy and sophisticated living ideas, here is a beautiful idea from Refin Ceramiche that really caught my attention today. Refin Ceramiche is a company specialised in high quality floor and wall tiles, and at this project named Arketipo they wanted to create a naturalistic interior design, by using nature-inspired materials. Now what I like the most at this project is how a few pebbles can make from a banal space a very interesting one. While I was looking at these pictures a few new interior design ideas related to pebbles popped into my head, and I hope I’m not the only one who got new ideas from this post.

The Cubby coat hook is designed by materious and challenges traditional form–rather than a coat hook being a fairly linear element. The center space offers storage for keys, wallets, gloves, sunglasses, or other small items. The outer surface allows purses and scarves to be hung and offers a wider, more collar-friendly support for coats. Many Cubbyies can be attached to the wall linearlly or randomly, in different colors, and each family member can have their own coat “space.” - Via - Trendinsiders

Yesterday was 1 April ( April Fools’ Day ), and this door chain concept designed by Artemy Lebedev fell into the category of a good joke. I don’t like the April Fools’ Day, but this door chair is really funny, and appropriate for a day like this. The only problem with something like this might be …if you have a visitor you might have a dialog like this : “I’ll be right there, hold on!“, after 2 minutes … “Just one more minute, I’ve almost got it!“, because the chain is long enough to reach the far end of the maze. - Via - Tranism

Here on Freshome we present mostly interesting architecture, interior design ideas, and other home related topics. Today I’ve found a really interesting 3D Business Card that I’m sure it would be perfect for an architect or an interior designer. With a business card like this if you are an architect or an interior designer I’m sure that a lot of clients will have a very good idea about you from the start. Now I know that some people might ask from where they can get something like this. I didn’t found a place where you can get something like this, just this video …but I’m sure that an origami expert might be able to help you.
