Designed by Billy May, Torn Lighting concept is an interesting way of adding some light to your home. Torn Lighting is perfectly disguised on your wall while hiding it’s LED secrets from view. The installations conceal LED lights, and look like you’ve got some kind of weird space-time holes torn into your walls and leaking light into your room. Painted with the same color as your walls, Torn Lighting comes in multiple designs and shapes that can be used at both wall corners and flat surfaces. In conclusion if you want an original way to add light to your walls then Torn Lighting might give you a FRESH idea. – Via

Designed by Girishbabu Uppin this glass and metal table is made from scraps of vehicles like wind shields and bicycle rims. I never thought that from two bicycle rims, and a wind shield someone can make a piece of furniture that actually looks good. This design is a great example for those people who throw away all kind of stuff after they use it for about an year or so. Don’t throw things, away …think a little and you might end up with a creative solution like this interesting table. – Via – Ecofriend

From time to time people come up with a crazy idea, like this one, but sometimes a crazy idea can be used as a source of inspiration. A crazy idea that I’ve found today came from Justin. He went to several supermarket bakeries to look for the right pillow-like cake to sleep on. I don’t know why someone would do something like this, but he wanted to sleeping on it, like you sleep on a pillow. When I saw the picture for the first time I said to myself : “What a cool pillow !“, of course that I watched the picture first and skipped the text. After I’ve read the text I thought that this is a really cool idea for a pillow, and I’ve decided to post it on Freshome …who knows maybe someone who’s looking for a little piece of inspiration for a new product will actually use this idea.

While I was checking my RSS reader today I’ve found this interesting idea for a small house entrance on Swissmiss. I love the idea, and I think that I’m going to implement it in my small apartment, especially how the shoes are stored is a great space saver. The materials used are ash and plain steel. The ash has been bleached and then custom finished.
