Designed by Stefano Bigi and produced by La Cividina the Globos Chair is a brilliant solution for small places, especially if you don’t have space in your apartment for 12 chairs laying around your house all the time. So to solve this problem designer Stefano Bigi designed a collection of furniture that cleverly hid extra seating inside its body. On its own, the bench and chair can only seat 4 people. However, within their bulbous designs are 8 pouffes that can be used as small ottomans increasing seating capacity to 12. Now that everything is ready you have enough chairs for everyone in case you’re going to throw a party in your apartment.

For today I’ve decided to post another interesting inspirational set with bedroom designs, that I’ve found on Tomasella, an italian furniture brand. Usually in this kind of posts where I present inspirational bedroom designs pictures, I don’t have to much to say, but here are a few words about the company that made these designs : “Nowadays, Tomasella Industria Mobili is a company that spreads out over 100,0000 m2. Always staying at the forefront of technological and creative innovation, and perfectly in tune with the tastes of our times, Tomasella has led Italian furniture, both classic and modern, for the daytime or night-time area, to write an important chapter in its history.”

The Steel Bean Bag Chair is a strange piece of furniture designed by Rick Ivey. I say strange because a piece of furniture made from steel ? This is very uncomfortable, cold, and I’m pretty sure that nobody would use something like this. The solution for this chair would be that someone to find a material that will look like steel, or at least have a metallic look but to be comfortable. Anyway if you really want a steel bean bag chair like this you can get it from here, but take a look at the price first ( $4500 ), you might change your mind.

This piece of furniture designed by Giuseppe Canevese features the artwork of graphic artist Guido Crepax who was influential in the development of European comic art in the second half of the 20th century. His most famous storyline, featuring the character “Valentina“, was created in 1965. Printed on white polished MDF, these creations are certainly attention grabbing and conversation starters in any room and in any language. I’m pretty sure that those of you who loved comics when they were kids will absolutely love this piece of furniture. If you want to see more pieces from this collection, or maybe buy something you can go here. - Via - Yanko

If you are a regular reader of this blog you might remember the Sculpted Bedroom Furniture Collection by Allan Lake a great piece of sculpted furniture for someone who want something unique. Today I’ve decided to present another interesting piece of sculpted furniture from Allan Lake. This Bespoke hand sculpted Desk was made on commission for a couple who wanted it for a particular purpose and place. It is made out of very beautiful figurative burr elm and houses eight hand cut dovetailed drawers and a cupboard with shelf. It features a channel of amber resin that runs central through the length of the desktop. Underneath this channel of resin there are concealed lights that create an effective warm under glow to the surface at night time.It was made as two bases and a top with eight mortise holes that fit onto eight through tenon joints atop each leg, this allowing for better access to its place of inhabitants, as it is a large piece.

It is approximately 82”Long x 46”Wide x 29”High, and was created completely to satisfy the customers needs for function and dimension and also fundamentally for there love of the chosen wood. The overall aesthetics of the desk were inspired by organic natural forms and landscapes and also as spontaneous reactions to the nature of the wood grains in each piece used. The study in which it is now housed also played a creative role in the visualization of its overall look. The desk is finished in multiple layers of furniture oil finish and was finally lightly sanded back and coated and buffed up with a clear wax creating a warm mellowed sheen.
