Located on the West Coast of the Bergen archipelago in Norway, Villa Storingavika is one of the most strikingly beautiful structure clad in glass, black stained wood and oiled natural wood. The rocky hillside, the green garden and the wonderful view of blue waters makes this home a complete delight. Constructed with an attempt to utilize the available space to a maximum by Saunders Architecture, the two floors of the building are styled to face the rough Norwegian weather. The interiors are shaped to match the exterior design and the shower with a glass view is one feature that you will not really find far too often anywhere else in the world!

A Table Inspired by Pollution

Share |

The Robber Baron series by Studio Job is an important suite of five cast-bronze furnishings, consisting of a Cabinet, Mantel Clock, Table, Standing Lamp, and Jewel Safe, each to be offered in a limited edition of five commissioned by Murray Moss. From these five pieces the table that you can see in the pictures below got my attention. A patinated bronze “factory”, whose architecture is derived from interpretations of various early 20th century works, including the AEG factory of Peter Behrens and the Battersea Power Station in London. The four chimneys produce a “polluted cloud” of polished bronze, which becomes the open-work tabletop. All these pieces are inspired by ‘tales of power, corruption, art and industry’ all featuring strong gold and black elements. within the fist hour of the show, a set of pieces were sold to a private collector for 700,000 USD. I’m pretty sure that people who do their best to help the environment will have to say about this table. – Via

Glowing Pillow – d°light Huggable

Share |

Glowing PillowThe d°light Huggable takes home furnishings to a new level as an innovative combination of ambient lighting and comforting cushion. An ideal night light, conversation piece, or sunshine alternative during those dark winter months, the functional, yet contemporary d°light Huggable defines the future of design. The soft fuzziness of the wispy, mohair-like cover conceals 12 LEDs that do the glowing. The d°light Huggable can glow brightly for around 4 hours on four AA batteries, after which it dims gradually. – Price : $160,00 ( expensive, but you got a hi tech pillow )- Via – Shinyshiny
