In Santiago, Chile, the 38 years old Los Heroes Building has been renovated into a very modern office building that will turn heads when walking by. Murtinho Y Asociados Arquitectos have been in charge with the change and I must say they did a great job. They installed some fancy colorful panels that won’t only highlight the concept but also act as solar panels to trap sunlight. To prevent interior heating, the building also features some sort of UV ray filters. Overall it looks very classy and I’d be glad to have an office in that building. Would you? – via StyleCrave

Vitra Sofa Compact with Colorful Horizontal Strips

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames the Vitra Sofa Compact was originally a design intended for their own house in California, but finally went into series production. Unusually high and divided into two horizontal strips, the backrest lends the sofa an interesting profile and clearly sets it apart from the weightiness of traditional sofas. The sofa can be folded up, making it easy to transport. Made from a chromed tubular metal frame with polyurethane foam upholstery, it retails for a hefty £4,966. I know that is very expensive, but at least you have a great idea for adding color and joy to any room.
