Designed by Javier Mariscal, the Los Muebles Amorosos Chair is an colorful piece of furniture that can change the whole atmosphere in any room. The base of the chair is made from a steel frame, and the feet are natural beech, screwed to the frame. Seat cushion is stress-resistant polyurethane foam in varied densities and polyester fiberfill. I don’t know if someone is so interested in these details, but who knows, maybe in this world there are people who care only about these details. - Via - Morso

Earlier this month I’ve posted about an Armoire with a Sticker, a great example on how you can use a sticker to change the look of an old or boring piece of furniture. Meanwhile I’ve discovered on Designspongeonline, an Argentinian designer located in Buenos Aires, named Lucas Rise, that creates incredible mural-like paintings on furniture that range from psychedelic to tribal-themed. His works are really amazing if you consider the level of details and time spend at a piece of furniture like this. Here are a few pieces that I liked the most, but if you want to see more you can check his portfolio here.

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames the Vitra Sofa Compact was originally a design intended for their own house in California, but finally went into series production. Unusually high and divided into two horizontal strips, the backrest lends the sofa an interesting profile and clearly sets it apart from the weightiness of traditional sofas. The sofa can be folded up, making it easy to transport. Made from a chromed tubular metal frame with polyurethane foam upholstery, it retails for a hefty £4,966. I know that is very expensive, but at least you have a great idea for adding color and joy to any room.

The fabric for the Pixel Sofa has been picked up by Danish manufacturer Kvadrat, based off of a concept by Cristian Zuzunaga, a Royal College of Art graduate. The contemporary couch is sure to grab everyone’s attention by virtue of its wide spectrum of colors. I’m pretty sure that people who use computers, and especially designers would love something like this in their studio/office. - Via - Thecoolhunter

Over the time you’ve seen a lot of bookshelves on Freshome, but what I’ve found today is really impressive. I was browsing Flickr and I found this beautiful example of organizing books by color and the smart guy that managed to do it, is user chotda. This is a very good way of changing the whole aspect of a bookshelf with a little bit of creativity. I guess you’ll have to pay more attention to the book’s cover from now on if you want to reproduce that effect and have your own rainbow bookshelf.
