This string chair invites a second look, a wish to try it out and perhaps even a love-hate reaction. The chair boasts strong clean lines - literally - for the seating area and backrest are series of taut strings. The two groups of strings neatly interlock at the junction of the seating area and the backrest much like the warp and weft of looms. The design certainly begs the question - cushion or no?
The designer is egawa+zbryk whose skillful use of bent birch plywood, nylon cord and stainless steel has given his creation its curving form coupled with straight lines and pleasing balanced colors. The three seater or single chairs surely will capture everyone’s attention in any contemporary home. - Via

The White House by JVA (Jarmund/Vigsnæs AS Arkitekter MNAL) is located in Strand, Norway and is defined by clean lines, white wooden panels, oak ceiling, and concrete floors. Situated in a quite dense suburban setting, the house twists dynamically between sheltering for privacy and opening up for angles of vistas. The central space of the house stretches between the morning light between the pines towards east, and the western horizon of the Oslo fjord. The house is clad with painted wooden panels, outside and inside. Walls and ceiling on the first floor are finished in oak, while floor and walls of the ground floor are exposed concrete casted on site. - Via

This low table when is closed it might appear something simple that don’t deserve to much attention. In fact this low table extends and changes its shape by doubling in size revealing generous storage for magazines, books, CD and DVD. This is the beauty of something that looks simple, but in fact is more complex that your eye can see at a first glance. The table is characterized by clean lines, functionality and diverse wood and lacquer finishes combinations between wengé stained oak and white lacquer. Finnaly I can only say that I love this type of furniture that has something hidden. Price : £1168.34
