The Slacker Chair

The Slacker Chair was designed by Frederik Olsson and exhibited at the 2008 Stockholm Furniture Fair. You don’t see a piece of furniture like this in any home, because this is not a normal chair, it looks more like a throne, and I think that is was designed for the gamnig fanatics, that spend to much time in the virtual world. “The Slacker” chair features intricately cut, solid wood arms and sitting in a throne like this you can feel like a real king. – Via – Yankodesign

Sea Serpentine Chair

A sea serpent is a kind of sea monster either wholly or partly serpentine. Despite the numerous sightings, no credible physical evidence has been recorded and it is believed by many scientists that the animals can be best explained as misidentification of known animals such as whales. This time someone decided to create an unique and playful piece of handcrafted furniture that has a stuffed sea serpent running along the back. The Sea Serpentine Chair is a cozy bucket seat that has 360 degree turning radius. The sea serpentine chair with the little “dragon” to guard your back can be yours for $495 from here. – Via – Thedesignblog

Bookseat – A Chair for Book Lovers

Almost a year ago we presented a similar product named the Library Chair, and today here is the bookseat, a simple bookcase that playfully curves and becomes a seat, is a creative design responding to the multifunctional usage of space in today’s urban living. The design looks awesome especially when you add a few books with a colorful book cover. The bad part is that people in these days don’t buy so many books, or if they buy they buy them in electronic format. The chair is designed by a Toronto based design-duo company named FishbolDesign Atelier, and is manufactured with bent plywood and available with a felt cushion in customizable colors. For those interested in this design he will be available in Spring 2008. – Via – designspotter
